So now I am doing my project on the education and prevention of addiction. From what I have seen, there are not very many programs that help with the prevention of addiction, and most of them are just the run of the mill school programs that deliver speeches and have speakers talk to students about the negative effects of addiction. I still need to use my research and all of the information I have gained through learning about addiction, but I think this is going to be harder than my other topic. I am still going to have to figure out why people are addicted, but now, I am going to find a way to help prevent potential addicts from developing into one.
My new essential question is going to be somewhat in the form of this: How does a potential addict recognize they have the potential to become an addict, and how can it be prevented?
